WHAT
WE DO
Fresh Start Future Enterprises (FSFE) is a social enterprise dedicated to supporting individuals with lived experience of the criminal justice system. Through mentoring, skills development, and employment opportunities, we help people reintegrate into society and build positive, sustainable futures.
Moving Forward Together:
Support That Works For You
Even though thousands of people face barriers after prison, too many are left without the right support. That needs to change.
We’re Fresh Start. We help people rebuild, find purpose, and move forward, for themselves, their families, and their futures.

Our Support Services

Social Inclusion
We believe that everyone deserves to feel part of their community. Through group activities, volunteering opportunities, and community projects, we bring people together, reduce isolation, and create spaces for inclusion and belonging.

Basic needs
We ensure that individuals and families have access to life’s essentials. From food parcels and clothing to hygiene products and emergency supplies. Our support provides stability in times of crisis and helps reduce immediate hardship.

Education, Training & Employment (ETE)
We equip people with the tools they need to build brighter futures. This includes training programmes, employability workshops, mentoring, and tailored career support to improve skills, increase confidence, and open doors to work and further education.

Mental Health
Mental wellbeing is central to a person’s overall quality of life. We provide access to mental health resources, peer support groups, and wellbeing workshops, helping people to manage challenges, build resilience, and seek professional help where needed.

Harmful Behaviours
We work with individuals to identify and address harmful behaviours, such as substance misuse or offending patterns. Through targeted interventions, education, and ongoing support. We help people make positive lifestyle changes and reduce risks.

Custodial Support
Transitioning from custody back into the community can be challenging. We provide guidance, mentoring, and practical assistance to help individuals rebuild their lives, avoid reoffending, and access the services they need for a positive fresh start.

Housing Advocacy
Safe, secure housing is the foundation for stability. We support individuals facing homelessness or housing insecurity by connecting them with partner organisations, and advocating for long-term housing solutions.

Financial support
Financial difficulties can be overwhelming. We offer advice on budgeting, debt management, and benefits, alongside workshops and one-to-one guidance, giving people the knowledge and confidence to regain control of their finances.
